Day at Kellogg 2020, Admitted Student Weekend

Leading Kellogg's Largest Admissions Events to Date

DAK I, January 2020

In person event that served over 400 participants through four days of programming while engaging over 150 volunteers.

DAK II, April 2020

Kellogg's first virtual conference due to COVID-19. Seven day event series that served over 800 participants while engaging over 91 volunteers.

Each year Kellogg's Full-Time Admissions department hosts two marquee admitted student weekends to showcase the Kellogg experience. The four day event focuses on academics, career outcomes, the student experience, and what is unique about Kellogg while encouraging admitted students to enroll. This complex portfolio of strategically planned events is recognized as the most important time of the recruitment cycle and the largest opportunity to yield the future class of Kellogg.

In 2020, I was tasked with leading this critical event series, including complete ownership over the weekend and the 17 person external facing executive committee of current students.

Thought Leadership Events

Partnering Across Departments

In the spring and summer of 2020, departments across Kellogg began launching virtual events with expert faculty and alumni speakers to help drive innovation and growth during a global pandemic. I managed partnering with these departments to make sure that prospective student audiences had access to this valuable content.

Launching Virtual Corporate Recruitment Efforts

Driving Innovation in a Global Pandemic

In the summer and fall of 2020, I launched and led Kellogg's first virtual corporate recruitment series. This event series leveraged virtual programming to deliver personalized admissions sessions to corporate partners across the United States.

Leading Kellogg's Domestic Recruitment Efforts

80+ Events Annually

In 2018 and 2019, I was responsible for managing over 80 events for Kellogg's Full-Time Admissions Department. As the owner of domestic recruiting events, I managed our admissions presentations in 20 business markets across the United States, in addition to our marquee on campus events. On campus events included, but were not limited to, Diversity Preview Day, Women's Preview Day, Veteran's Preview Day, and Kellogg Preview Day.

In addition to recruitment efforts, I also worked on celebratory specialty events for applicants after they had

been admitted to Kellogg.

2015 - 2016: Up to 305% Increase in Events Reach per Market

Leveraging Data Analysis and Strategy Development

In 2015 and 2016, I managed a portfolio of Kellogg's recruitment efforts to greatly increase our event attendance and participation through thoughtful data analysis and strategy development. During this time, I increased the reach of our events to grow by up to 305% per a key market in comparison to before I joined the team in 2014. This increase occurred while focusing on staffing efficiencies and decreasing the overall amount of events that we held.

Market growth in identified key markets:

  • San Francisco- 305% increase

  • Dallas- 261.9% increase

  • Los Angeles- 214.7% increase

  • Boston- 214.3% increase

  • Chicago 155.2% increase

  • Washington DC- 146.3% increase

  • Mexico City- 140.6% increase

Skokie Chamber of Commerce

100+ Events Annually

In 2013, I was responsible for scheduling, organizing, promoting, and running a rigorous calendar of over 100 events at the Skokie Chamber of Commerce. Events include networking gatherings, professional development workshops, and charitable fundraisers responsible for bringing in over $35,000 in Chamber revenue. Additionally, I represented Chamber of Commerce at community events grossing 30,000 to 80,000 community attendees per event.
