The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) is a not-for-profit membership association for business communications professionals with approximately 12,000 members in 80 countries across the globe. IABC/Chicago is the oldest IABC chapter in the world and one of the largest IABC chapters in the U.S. with over 400 professional members.
In my role as President for the 2017-2018 executive board year, I led the IABC Chicago executive committee to build a cohesive board that served the networking, professional development, resource, and volunteerism needs of IABC Chicago membership.

Led a team of five executive board members in the creation and organization of chapter meetings, events, community outreach programs, fundraisers, budgets, and industry visits.

Assisted in the recruitment of over 25 chapter members and professional guests on campus while representing the group at recruitment fairs, seminars, panel discussions, interviews, and networking events.

Researched, contacted, and scheduled communication professionals to lecture at chapter events and meetings regarding social media development, networking, interviewing, and portfolio reviewing skills.
